South

The southern United States includes a wide range of communities, with strong traditions of faith-based, nonprofit, and community-led support for children, youth, and families. Resources often vary by state, region, and local capacity.

This hub brings together trusted, state-specific resources for afterschool, tutoring, homeschooling, community learning, and nonprofit community support across the South. It is intended to help families, churches, educators, tutors, and community organizations understand what exists and where to begin locally.

About These Resources

Some resources linked through this hub are created by the Lightstand Project, particularly through the Community Engagement Program. Others are external resources, shared to support awareness and connection. Each resource is clearly identified so you know what is original and what is curated.

This hub does not deliver programs, services, training, or curriculum. It exists to help communities see what is available and how different supports are organized across states.
